V3 Power was set up by a group of engineers and science educators in 2006.
Initially we focused on teaching people how to build, install, and service Hugh Piggott wind turbines; running many workshops and courses over the years for Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), Derbyshire Eco Centre, Brighton Permaculture Trust and many university groups in the UK and Europe.

Then we diversified and began to run more bespoke DIY renewable energy projects, designing and building all sorts of things from bicycle generators and pedal generators to a rainwater harvesting light installation to a wind turbine workshop kit for schools.
Now most of our work involves collaborating with bespoke gear building and hiring bicycle generators and pedal generators.
Our team has varied over the years but we are currently a two-person, part-time ad hoc operation.
