V3 were at Glastonbury Festival in Somerset this year! We were showcasing hand built small wind turbines by using three Hugh Piggot generators to power the crew area and a cafe in the Tipi Field. We had a 1.2m, 1.8m and 2.4m machine as well as a couple of solar panels inputting into our power trailer. We then used a 1.6kW inverter to send power down to where it was needed for lighting, phone and laptop charging and leisure battery charging. The site had a great wind resource which meant that we were never short of power and were an excellent example of small wind in action!
