Tom and Jonny from V3 spent 4 days living on a boat near Battersea powerstation building a 48V 1.2m turbine with 4 members of the public. The turbine was due to be installed at the marina to provide communal battery charging for the boats however planning got in the way and it is now just used privately by one of the boat owners.

Welding during the Thames rush-hour was tricky, as was getting the blade angles correct when the boat dried out on the mud twice a day at 5 degrees off horizontal!
