The Sustainability Centre is an independent learning and study centre, a beacon for sustainability and an award-winning social enterprise charity in the heart of Hampshire’s South Downs, UK.
What happens?
This is a primarily classroom based course however there will be a site visit and short practical session as well.
Participants will learn:
- The different renewable energy technologies available for
installing in the home and the pros and cons of them in
different contexts. Including information on feed-in tariffs
and installation costs.
- Off-grid renewable systems and their design. Including
examples of different interesting installations from across
the world and a practical session looking at how different
elements are wired up.
What does it cost?
The course costs £40
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, participants will need to bring their own lunch or use the cafe on site.

V3 Power is a workers cooperative based in Nottingham. We have been running courses building Hugh Piggott wind turbines and other renewable energy technologies since 2006.
