BUILD A WIND TURBINE

This course covers all the practical elements of building a small wind turbine and gives an overview of all the technical aspects needed to create a wind based renewable energy system.‭ ‬Participants will get hands on experience welding a turbine mounting,‭ ‬carving wooden blades and building the electrical generator using magnets and copper coils. The course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to people with plenty of practical and technical knowledge looking to supplement what they already know.‭ Its great fun and very empowering! 

When Friday 13th - Sunday 15th April. 

Where Ludlow, Shropshire, England.

What We will build a 1.8m, 200W, Hugh Piggott wind turbine. The course is suitable for all levels of experience and covers wooden blade carving, welding a mounting, casting an alternator and designing an electrical system.         

Cost £260. The course is residential and the cost covers food and accommodation for Thurs, Fri and Sat nights.
